1.1 Participation
The participant is expected to follow or has completed a HBO+ (BSc/MSc/Bachelor/Masters) grade in Human or Health
Sciences (e.g. Psychology, Medicine). For courses of a comparable level, participation is permitted in consultation with
Brainclinics. Brainclinics can request degrees and certificates as proof.
1.2 Establishment of agreement
The agreement is concluded as soon as the participant has registered for the selected course via website or email.
He/she will receive a personalized invoice with the course name, course date, course price and payment terms.
During the courses and workshops, Brainclinics provides a daily package consisting of coffee, tea, fruit juice and lunch.
1.3 Payments
The registration fee will have to be paid within 14 days after the invoice date and in any case 14 days before the start of
the course or workshop. When these payment terms are not met, Brainclinics retains the right to exclude the participant
from the course or workshop. Payment can be made by credit card or bank transfer.
Brainclinics reserves the right to adjust prices of courses and workshops if necessary.
1.4 Cancellation by participant
Cancellation of the registration needs to be communicated in an e-mail to
by Brainclinics. For cancellations more than 30 days before the start of the first course or workshop day, there will be no
costs charged. For cancellations within 30 days before start of the first course or workshop day, 50% of the course costs
will be charged. After the start of the course or workshop, cancellation/refund is no longer possible. In all cases – after
consulting Brainclinics – a replacement can be admitted if that person can fulfill requirement 1.1 of these Terms and
Conditions.
1.5 Interim termination by participant
Refund of part of the course fee is only possible if an early termination of the course or workshop is the result of serious
illness or calamity. This only takes place after mutual agreement.
1.6 Cancellation by Brainclinics Foundation
Force majeur
In these Terms and Conditions, force majeure means, in addition to what is understood in law and case law, all
circumstances that are due to fault and circumstances over which Brainclinics has no influence, but which prevent
Brainclinics Foundation from fulfilling its obligations.
If Brainclinics Foundation must cancel the training due to force majeure, in advance, at the start or during the training,
both parties can terminate the agreement, without any obligation to pay compensation or reimbursement of travel and
accommodation costs already incurred by the participant.
If due to force majeure another training location must be found, Brainclinics reserves the right to change the training
location within a radius of 30 km, without this change giving the participant the right to terminate the agreement.
If due to force majeure another trainer must be found, Brainclinics Foundation reserves the right to change trainer,
without this change giving the participant the right to terminate the agreement.
If Brainclinics Foundation has to cancel the training due to a lack of sufficient students, Brainclinics Foundation can
terminate the agreement, without any obligation to pay compensation or reimbursement of travel and accommodation
costs already incurred by the participant.
Brainclinics Foundation will return the course fee already paid to the participant within 14 days.
1.7 Accreditation
The accreditation of the various courses and workshops is issued by various professional institutes. For each
course/workshop on the website it is stated which accreditation applies. A certificate will be issued after fully participating
in a course/workshop.
1.8 Content of meetings
Due to changes in accreditation requirements or qualitative improvements, Brainclinics reserves the right to change
programs at any time.
1.9 Study materials
All rights (such as copyright and property rights) to the teaching materials developed by Brainclinics and trainers remain
with Brainclinics or trainers. Without prior permission from Brainclinics, nothing from the publications may be
reproduced, stored in an automated database or made public by means of printing, photocopying, microfilm or
otherwise. The participant is not permitted to use the teaching material and documentation provided in his own or
already developed training course.
1.10 Complaint procedure
If the participant has a complaint about the training or related administrative and/or financial procedure, he/she must
make this known in writing by e-mail to Brainclinics Foundation via
the training. After that time, it is assumed that the participant has no complaints about the training and complaints will no
longer be processed.
After submitting the complaint, Brainclinics Foundation will respond to the complaint by email within 2 weeks. The aim is
to reach a jointly agreed solution within 4 weeks of submitting the complaint. If no agreement is reached after 4 weeks
after submitting the complaint, the participant can submit his/her complaint to the accrediting institute(s), up to 4 weeks
after submitting the complaint. Information about this procedure can be found on the accrediting institute's website. If a
longer period of time is required to conduct an investigation, the participant will be notified within 7 days, the delay will be
explained and an indication will be given when a definitive answer can be given. The decision of the accrediting institute
is binding for Brainclinics Foundation and the participant.
Complaints are treated strictly confidential. Complaints are kept in the Institute's complaints register. The Personal Data
Protection Act applies here. Five years after the complaint has been dealt with, it will be removed from the register and
all documents relating to the complaint will be destroyed.
1.11 Confidentiality
The information provided by the participant will be treated confidentially by Brainclinics Foundation. Contact details are
not made available to third parties, except to third parties directly related to a training course and to the services of the
Institute.
1.12 Other
By registration for a course or workshop, the participant agrees with the Terms and conditions of Brainclinics
Foundation.
